Indoor–Outdoor Family Kitchen.
A story of connection, light, and life well lived.
Bringing a family’s dream of connection and calm to life.
I led the development of the Indoor–Outdoor Family Kitchen case study, a campaign that captured how great design can transform the rhythm of everyday living by connecting home, family, and nature in perfect harmony.
My Role
I managed the project end-to-end, including:
Story development
Working with the Marketing team, I identified Helen’s project as the perfect story to illustrate the emotional impact of design. Her multi-generational household, love of entertaining, and passion for cooking offered a rich, relatable narrative for our audience, one about togetherness, joy, and living beautifully at home.Client relationship
I collaborated closely with Helen to understand her journey, motivations, and the personal meaning behind her “forever kitchen.” This relationship was key to building authenticity into every part of the story, from the interview to the final edit.Creative direction
I developed the creative concept and narrative structure for the case study, balancing emotional storytelling with a focus on craftsmanship and function. Working with our in-house videographer, photographer, and stylist, I planned the shoot to highlight the kitchen’s seamless connection between indoors and outdoors, the heart of Helen’s vision.Production management
From scheduling and logistics to creative oversight on shoot day, I ensured every detail reflected the Tom Howley brand, warm, aspirational, and design-led. I directed the storytelling flow on set, capturing both the serene architectural beauty and the moments that made the space feel alive.Activation
Following production, I collaborated with our Marketing and Social teams to roll out the campaign across multiple channels, digital, print, PR, email and social, ensuring a cohesive, emotionally engaging presentation consistent with the brand’s new creative direction.
“Every time we have a big family meal, it’s busy, it’s frenetic, it’s chaotic, and it’s fun. This kitchen really enables that.”
— Helen Sachdev
The Outcome
The Indoor–Outdoor Family Kitchen case study became one of our most memorable stories, a perfect example of how design enhances daily life. The campaign balanced luxury with humanity, showcasing Tom Howley’s ability to craft spaces that not only look exceptional but also bring people together.
Its feature on Channel 4’s George Clarke’s Beautiful Builds amplified visibility and reinforced the brand’s position as a leader in thoughtful, aspirational design.
